Electrical Production Assembler

We are a recognised authority in the development and manufacture of specialist scientific instruments. Our focus is to develop and deliver first class instruments for isotopic and chemical microanalysis of materials. Our customers are industrial and commercial customers, academic bodies and government agencies, specialising in the geosciences, environmental and forensics sectors across the world.
The Electrical Production Assembler would ideally have a background in laser based systems or scientific instruments. This is a hand's on role and needs experience within a production manufacturing environment. The Instrument Assembler role is a highly specialised role. It involves manufacturing and assembling a wide range of parts for the full range of products, using a range of specialised tool. Several of the parts are assembled from technical drawings.
Your duties will include:
- Experience in a similar assembly in the electronics field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Carry out a range of mechanical work using a range of processes to assemble precision parts for the full range of products.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Check accuracy and quality of finished products.
- Undertake a range of basic electronics and electrical wiring tasks, including designing electronic circuits and systems; fabrication of electronics enclosures
- Practical ability and aptitude for technical work, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
To be successful you will have:
- Appropriate technical qualification
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, particular with in a manufacturing and/or research laboratory environments
- Able to manage time critical deadlines
Mandatory
- Relevant engineering /trade qualification and or extensive experience in a precision or electrical environment
- Driver's License
