Reporting to the Production Coordinator, the primary purpose of this position is to be hands on operator who displays an inspiring work ethic. We seek someone who has a genuine interest in the wider operation of a manufacturing plant. A results driven individual who can provide intermediate support to the production team supervisors in performing duties involved with the manufacturing and packing process in accordance with the relevant work health, safety, quality and environmental protection standards.

Role and Responsibilities:
 
Operations:
 
  • Able to set up and operate production packing line machinery competently independent of supervision. Employee demonstrates superior understanding of the equipment and processes;
  • Able to measure and charge raw materials competently into production formulation machinery, independent of supervision. Demonstrates intermediate understanding of the equipment and processes. Handle dangerous goods within the manufacturing environment.
QHSE:
  • To ensure that they and those working directly with them take appropriate safety measures into account at every step of the production process;
  • Maintain a clean working environment and follow the principles of 6S;
  • Required to report any faults and take responsibility to ensure the faults are fixed.

Who you are:
  • School Certificate Year 10/or TAFE equivalent (minimum requirements: reading, writing, literacy and numeracy skills);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong team work ethic;
  • Self - driven;
  • Mentoring capabilities;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential;
  • Experience with handling dangerous goods;
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude;
  • Cert III - Competitive Manufacturing Excellence or equivalent;
  • Handling making pesticides.
