The Company

AM Solutions is the distribution and administration hub for one of Australia's fastest growing pharmacy retailers. We are an Australian owned company who distribute products to the My Chemist/Chemist Warehouse stores.

We are currently seeking an experienced DC Manager for our South Guildford Distribution Centre.

The Role

The Distribution Manager is responsible for both the end to end and day to day Operation of the Facility, whilst ensuring a Safe work environment and Company Policies and Operating Standards are maintained and Service Delivery is achieved to Company and Customer expectations.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Liaising and communicating effectively with Internal and external Stakeholders, included but not limited to Retail State Managers, Buyers and Senior Supply Chain Management
  • Provide daily and weekly reporting communicating performance, issues or challenges.
  • DIFOT from the DC to the Transport provider
  • Manage inventory controls to allow best in full service
  • Oversee labour usage, rostering and training
  • Lead and provide a safe working environment ensuring informative reporting on risk and injury reduction
  • Management of all facilities and plant- preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
  • Develop and maintain a professional and motivated team
  • Work to the Code of Good Wholesaling practise



Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Distribution Centre Manager
  • Thorough knowledge of Distribution Centre’s and the purpose of DC operations
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to complex operational environments.
  • Ability to assess risk and provide risk based recommendations
  • Experience in having direct reports and leading minimum 50 employees
  • Experience in IR and with HR issues and situations
  • Highly motivated and a preparedness to take the initiative
  • Excellent problem solving capability
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Capacity to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing priorities and situations.
