About the business

GE Logistics, a leading Freight Forwarder in Australia's exciting Events Industry is looking for an experienced logistics operations manager. We service a wide range of events across the country including Exhibitions, Conferences and Outdoor Events.

About you:

Eager to learn, a self-starter, very well organized, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, possess the interpersonal skills, ability and willingness to get out and build relationships in our industry sector

What you will be doing:

• Working with our Account managers and determining labour, equipment and other resources required to deliver projects
• Management and scheduling of supervisors, forklift drivers and labour
• Management and scheduling of equipment, forklifts, cranes
• Management of equipment and labour suppliers
• Working onsite at various events and venues throughout Australia, most events Melbourne Sydney and Gold Coast/Brisbane
• Liaising with our freight and transport co-ordinators assisting to ensure ontime deliver to and collection from events
• WHS/OHS Management

Whilst logistics operations management experience is a pre-requisite for this role prior event industry experience is not mandatory. We are willing and prepared to help you develop in the role and provide all necessary training to help you become fully proficient in your duties.
