Production Supervisor role available, $90-100k + super, Western Sydney.
Your new company
You will be working for one of the largest food suppliers in Australia. The Team Leader role is responsible for the management of the production team on shift and to improve process efficiency, reduce waste and promote a safe working environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager this role will require the Production Supervisor to bring a wealth of experience to the production process and will be pivotal in bringing the production floor and operational side of the business. You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of up to 63 production staff across the manufacturing process whilst promoting best practice.
You will need to ensure shift manufacturing metrics and KPI targets are met. You will ensure high quality GMP standards are met while adhering to WHS policies, procedures and systems. Another area of focus will be to develop your people and identify training needs for all shift personnel. Additionally you will drive a continuous improvement on your shift with overall quality, costing and waste management accountabilities.
What you'll need to succeed
• Preferably degree qualifications or 5 years’ experience in a similar FMCG environment and role
• Experience with manufacturing systems and software
• Strong supervisory and people skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse workforce and maintain production schedules
• Strong counselling and coaching skills
• Demonstrated and well developed trouble shooting skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Solid attendance and work ethic
• Mechanical aptitude and computer literacy
• Strong eye for detail and quality
