The Company
A global food ingredient company, with manufacturing sites all over the globe, and a small site in the southern suburbs of Perth.
The Role
A permanent full time role working as a Quality Assurance Officer is available with an immediate start for the right candidate to join a reputable global company, within a friendly work environment at a south of the river location. This position offers convenient day time hours, Monday to Friday, working in a small cohesive team, with shared responsibilities with the WA State Manager. This is a position for someone with experience in quality assurance, having worked within food production. The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:
• Conducting Internal Audits
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP and FSANZ regulations
• Understanding of quality control techniques and applications
• Enforcing hygiene, sanitation and GMP practices
• Performing quality tests
• Working autonomously
• Providing technical assistance to the Quality Assurance Manager
• Inspection of raw and finished goods
• Equipment calibration
• Preparation and dispatch of product samples for testing
Ideal Skills & Experience
Desirable applicants will possess:
• BSc in Food Science and Technology or a related field
• Experience with BRC implementation and maintenance highly regarded
• Good understanding of HACCP
• Alergen and gluten testing experience
• Experience in quality control
• Practical computer skills
• Leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Full working rights in Australia
