Job description:
A fantastic permanent opportunity has become available in our Export Customer Service Division for an enthusiastic individual to join their busy and vibrant team ! Reporting to the Export Customer Service Supervisor, the main responsibility of this role is handling all export shipping enquiries for a group of designated clients. Working closely with ANL’s Sales and Commercial teams, the successful candidate will play an integral part in the development of the export business.
In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will be to –
- Be the first point of contact for customers calling in to make a booking
- Liaise and coordinate with various internal departments such as Commercial, Sales, Cargo Administration and others as necessary to ensure a prompt and efficient service is provided and rectify any problems referred by clients
- Follow-up with shippers as needed regarding unreceived cargo and report back as necessary
- Assist in compilation and maintenance of client profiles
- Co-ordinate, distribute and action sales leads, memoranda, proposals and client correspondence
- Conduct telemarketing campaigns as directed by the National Customer Service Manager
To be successful in this role, you MUST have-
- Australian citizenship or permanent residence
- At least 12 months' previous Customer Service experience, preferably in the Shipping/Freight forwarding industry
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to foster relationships with customers
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work unsupervised
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Strong keyboard and computer skills
- Excellent telephone manners with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
