About the role
Reporting into the Operations Manager this role will be will be responsible for overseeing the overnight operations of the Mackay depot and managing a high performing team.
Duties
- Manage shift personnel to achieve the business unit outcomes
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture within the team
- Manage transport operations within the area of responsibility and accountability
- Coach & mentor staff in line with company values
- Ensure compliance with Company & legislative requirements
- Develop strategies and processes to enhance operational efficiencies within the business
Skills & Experience
- Previous successful leadership experience, preferably in the transport and logistics industry
- A genuine commitment to safety in the workplace
- A strong commitment to the provision of excellent customer service
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and apply time management skills
- Valid Forklift Licence
- Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
