YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Due to internal movement, we have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Storeperson to join our small, cohesive team at our Laverton site. In this role, you will conduct various store duties to ensure the safe and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of chemical products within our Warehouse and Distribution Service (WDS) site. This Major Hazard facility stores Dangerous Goods and non-dangerous materials, and most of your duties involve the use of a forklift, therefore significant experience in forklift operation is a must.
Key accountabilities:
- Load and unload trucks and shipping containers using a forklift
- Prepare loads to be stored and/or wrapped for secure transportation
- Consolidate and deconsolidate stock
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with Ixom & statutory SH&E requirements
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Assist with the control of inventory by reporting stock variances and damaged stock, and also maintaining data integrity in Inventory Management Systems
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in warehouse operations
- A current forklift license with recent experience and competency (mandatory)
- Experience in Dangerous Goods is highly desirable
- Computer literacy, with experience in SAP and WMS systems
- Strong reading and writing comprehension, and strong attention to detail
- Physical fitness
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to learn
