The role: This position will play a key role with delivering on a group strategy of Linehaul optimisation to deliver efficiency and benefits to the Toll Group. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the execution to deliver a Linehaul operational network within their region. This individual would need to be comfortable working autonomously to deliver a program of work, in conjunction with operations, to develop and implement changes to existing processes, systems and ways of working required to implement the Network Optimisation findings. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the possible view of extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Autonomously manage and deliver a program of work to transition to an optimised Linehaul function, in alignment with Toll’s project management principles.
  • Creating and manage delivery of local project plans in support of the overall Program and optimisation projects.
  • Support the development of an optimised Static Schedule, and customisation required for the State / Region implementation
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and buy-in from GOS Leadership & State Leadership to lead the change in current processes to enable optimisation
  • Lead the tracking, monitoring and control of variation to the Static Schedule & report back to the Project Manager and Change Manager
  • Track and report on project progress and management of risk to the Project Manager and Steering Committee in line with the governance rhythm for the Program

In order to be successful in this role:

  • Preferred experience in Logistics/ Transport Management
  • Experience working on a transformation program involving a high degree of people movements
  • Demonstrated ability to work to a program plan with tight timelines and dependencies
  • Preferred experience in applying Supply Chain Principles
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Program/Project Management or Change Management roles within an operational environment
  • Experience working within large transformational projects across multiple functions
