An Assembly Manager position exists at an award winning company specialising in the design and supply of street furniture and public lighting solutions for public domain upgrades. HUB Australia designs street furniture for projects across Australasia and the Middle East.
As part of this role you will manage the assembly of HUB products either at HUB's facility in Padstow, or at external contractors. This position also includes the management of staff, inventory system and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assist with the assembly of light poles and street furniture.
- Ensure suitable WHS procedures are established and maintained at HUB's assembly facility and implemented in accordance with HUB Management System, national and state government legislation
- Ensure the facility operates in accordance with environmental legislation
- Ensure compliance with HUB's quality management system
- Assess and program work force requirements, including, as required, assembling product or using internal or external resource
- Maintain inventory of goods, including assisting in establishing and maintaining an ERP system
- Ensure quality of assembled goods being dispatched to clients
- Record and report on costs of assembly to project managers
- Report on assembly facility to Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- No specific qualifications required.
- Tertiary or certificate qualification in warehousing or manufacturing highly regarded
- Forklift, crane, truck licenses highly regarded
Experience & Skills
- Experience in a management or supervisory roles at a manufacturing facility would be beneficial
- Previous experience in working within budgets
- Knowledge and experience of assembling manufactured parts
- Good organisational skills
- Adequate Microsoft Office skills
- Experience of using engineering drawings
- Knowledge of materials
