Our client is a national company with import and export raw materials to all parts of the world. They are looking for an experienced shipping assistant/coordinator to join their team.

Our client is an Australian owned company who has been around for more than 40 years. They are known to import and export raw materials nationally and internationally. With sites all over Australia, they are looking for an addition in their Eastern Suburbs office as Shipping Assistant.

Description

Reporting to the CFO, you will efficiently ensure that logistics processes are streamlined. Ensuring the link between customers and shipment. Specifically you will:

  • Ensuring correct documentation is correct for both import and exports while liaising with customer brokers
  • Tracking and tracing shipments - ensuring customers are updated about delivery
  • Controlling local deliveries and reconciliation
  • Invoicing and ensuring the correct costs are sent out to customers
  • Liaising with transport companies, couriers and freight forwarders
  • Generating reports

Profile

As a driven Supply Chain and Logistics professional, you will assist the CFO in logistics import and export process, while ensuring WH&S policies and procedures are followed. Their ideal candidate will have prior experience in:

  • 2-3 proven experience in import/exports
  • Strong understanding of the import/export process
  • Proven experience handling FMCG and electronic products
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Great attention to detail
