Your role:

We currently have a vacancy for a Job Change Glassworker (G5) at our Spotswood Plant, located on Booker Street. This is a day shift role, working Monday to Friday.

As Job Change Glassworker, you will play an important role in our Production Support department which is responsible for setting up, starting up and handing over the production process under controlled circumstances when switching the ware produced on specific production lines. You will contribute to safe, efficient and timely job changes on bottle moulding machines which includes setting up bottle forming machines, inspection equipment, packaging centre, cleaning of delivery equipment and general maintenance of production equipment.

Between job changes, responsibilities will include routine maintenance tasks, cleaning, coating and planning tasks associated with upcoming job and colour changes.

 

About you:

You will have extensive production or maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment and be trade qualified or have a very strong mechanical aptitude. A commitment to safety, strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, great communication and being a good team player will be essential for anyone to succeed in this role.
