Defence Project Manager - Perth

Your new role
You will be in charge of the management of projects and programs within one of the sectors of the business with the aim of ensuring standardisation, reducing duplication and leveraging resources. The major role of your area is to define and maintain the processes by providing a framework to establish standards, based on goals and objectives. A large part of this role will be to develop and mentor the team of 5 individuals under you with a focus on the implementation and maintenance of the project methodology and retain the team members' focus on the tasks at hand. Possibility for international and interstate travel.
What you'll need to succeed
First and foremost you need to be professional and hard working with excellent leadership skills and the ability to approach tasks in an organised and effective manner. you will also need to have the following:
- A degree in either engineering or business administration.
- Experience managing dedicated Defence projects
- Experience leading a project management office, ideally in a government or military environment.
- A current passport and eligibility for Australian Defence clearance.
- A willingness to work long hours as the need arises.
