Freight Handlers for established Transportation Co... $29.64hr
Our client, based in Wetherill Park, requires reliable & physically fit freight handlers to join their existing team. We already have an existing crew working and need to top up additional motivated workers.
The afternoon shift commences at 4pm sharp! Shifts are approximately 4hrs finishing at 8pm. Preference will be given to those candidates that can work past an 8pm shift - heading into the busy season mid August with some of the shifts finishing at 10pm.
We are happy to fill the backlog of work with casual staff if you have a job with full time hours and recognise that you need to have a 10hr break between jobs to apply so will consider applicants who want 1 or 2 shifts per week. This also includes uni students,
You must be reliable, physically fit to perform all duties with a team and can do attitude. Attitude is a major component within this role taking ownership of your role autonomously and within a team environment.
Duties include though not limited too:
Conveyor work, picking by postcode and up to 20 kgs, with freight being all shapes and sizes, scanning of boxes, putting boxes on to the conveyor, repack of work and pallet stack all ready for the drivers offsider to load.
Attention to detail paramount to ensure the correct goods are separated and or packed corresponding with the orders.
You must be able to follow site Work Place Health and Safety processes, being in the correct allocated areas, mindful of forklift and truck activity and handle goods in a safe and careful manner. This is a high security surveillance site so compliance to all procedures required.
Own reliable transport a must. On-site parking available. Must have own PPE. Mobile phone required to be contactable & Rosters for the following week will be allocated each Friday.
