About the role
In this role, you will be required to:
- Organise, plan and schedule daily delivery runs
- Effectively manage all administration functions of a branch warehouse
- Process customer inquiries efficiently as per company procedures
- Assist and support the sales team to achieve budget for product mix sales
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products
- Develop and enhance relationships with customers in a competitive market
- Complete the regular review and adjustment of stock levels to ensure efficiency is continually achieved
- Complete stocktakes, investigate and report
- Ongoing order management for all orders within area of responsibility once released to the warehouse
- Repack customer orders as required
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to staff, customers and business affairs
- Contribute to ensuring a safe and harmonious work environment, in full support of the companies objectives and in accordance with policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the manner in which duties are conducted
- Maintain the warehouse in an operational manner including the general cleanliness and tidiness, in line with company procedures
- Ensure that company's occupational health, safety and environmental standards and systems are adhered to at all times in line with company policies and procedures
Skills and experience
- Experience handling particleboard/ panel material is favourable though not essential
- Good knowledge of the Brisbane, Gold & Sunshine Coast areas
- Ability to plan & schedule multiple daily delivery runs within South East Queensland area.
- Current Drivers licence and fork lift licence class LF
- Superior communication skills and rapport- building ability
- Intermediate Computer Literacy
- Knowledge of stock control on a minimum/maximum system
- Ability to maintain computerised records
- Ability to maintain warehouse in an approved manner
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers over the phone and in person
