We are seeking an experienced Workshop Coordinator, to join the Workshop Team in Henderson.
Your Responsibilities
The Workshop Coordinator will report directly to the Workshop Manager, and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, estimating and scheduling all activities required for thyssenkrupp equipment repair and refurbishment jobs to ensure that all work is carried out to company standard and specification and delivery in full is met and within cost.
Duties of this role include but are not limited to;
- Developing repair scopes, estimates and quotations.
- Liaising with customers, internal workshop or sub-contracts in regards to jobs arriving for repair and ongoing repairs and repair scoping.
- Ensuring all maintenance of workshop equipment, repairs/rebuilds are to thyssenkrupp standards, liaising with all relevant departments within thyssenkrupp.
- Close liaising with the Workshop Supervisor to track progress of jobs.
- Raising requisitions, expediting orders as well as preparing workshop invoicing.
- Analysing and obtaining all drawings and technical information required for repair work.
- Monitoring and expediting all repair jobs within set time frames with weekly formal job progress updates both internal and to the client.
Your Profile
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following competencies to be shortlisted;
- Mechanical Trade Certificate.
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the repair of mining components and heavy machinery.
- Able to prepare quotations.
- Planning, Scheduling, Project Coordination and Workshop Coordination experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project and SAP
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and high attention to detail and accurate data entry.
