You will instantly recognise this brand as an innovative and environmentally conscious leader in the heavy manufacturing field. The company is well known and established in the market place, and they are now looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead the site in Quality, Continuous Improvement and Safety.
The Role
Working on an established work site and reporting through to the National Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include;
- Managing the site quality function across 3 sites and through all phases of production at factory level.
- Responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and implementation of the site Quality Management Systems.
- Talking ownership and driving initiatives around safety and injury prevention, safe manual handling, and engaging cultural resistance to change initiatives.
- Identify issues and risks through internal, external and third-party audits and develop Quality Improvement Plans for the site.
- Drive improvements and monitor Quality Metrics/KPI's at the facility.
Your Background
To be successful in this role you should have;
- A tertiary qualification in safety, engineering, or in a science discipline.
- Proven ability to deliver on a quality management strategy and leadership within a similar company.
- Strong understanding of Quality and Safety, HACCP, Lean, 5 Whys, and Kaizen.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Self driven to improve initiatives across the workplace.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
- Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing site.
