An opportunity exists for a full-time hands-on yard supervisor with extensive timber knowledge to lead our busy yard team at our Laverton branch.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the yard staff with unloading and preparing orders
• Greet and serve all customers immediately on arrival
• Keep the yard neat and tidy at all times
• Ensure all yard staff and fork lift operators are complying with OH&S requirements
• Make sure all orders and picked and packed correctly from picking slips, are wrapped correctly and ready for despatch
• Act as a leader within the business and ensure all yard people are receiving appropriate training
• Assist with stocktakes and stocktake preparation
• Regularly liaise with the timber buyer, operations manager and branch employees

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:

• Previous experience leading people
• A forklift licence
• A passion and ability to deliver outstanding customer service and build great relationships
• Strong leadership skills and ability to relate to people at all levels with a particular focus on understanding the customer needs
• Ability to grow and develop yourself and the business
• Exceptional time management skills
• Achieving high levels of productivity and efficiency from staff
