About the role

Nikpol is looking for an energetic, hands-on Assistant Stock Controller/Warehouse Assistant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Stock Controller/Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for, but are not limited to:

Stock Controller - Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a monthly stock movement report to Financial Controller
  2. Provide a Monthly report to the Director
    1. Stock Movement for SKUs
      • In Stock
      • Stock sold
      • Adjustment
    2. Month on month stock holding
  3. Host a monthly stock meeting with Purchasing and Warehouse to identify challenges and solutions to meet customer order fulfilment dates
  4. Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with Category Managers to identify root causes and take corrective and preventative action
  5. Inform the Warehouse about new product arrivals, including SKU bin allocation for new products within a time frame which allows the warehouse staff to plan and organise.
  6. Liaise with the Queensland Stock Controller for rolling Stock Takes.

Warehouse Assistant – Responsibilities:

  1. Load and unload trucks, order pick, wrap products, pack, label, ship and receive.
  2. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklifts such as, checking fluid levels, recharging the forklift every day prior to commencing tasks.
  3. Report any equipment failures immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager. 
  4. Ensure no damaged products are dispatched.
  5. Package products for shipping (palletize, stretch wrap, box, label)
  6. Prioritize orders, customer requests, ensure orders are complete and available on time
  7. Wear personal protective equipment (steel cap boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, Hi-Vis vest) and company uniform.

  • Stock Control and Auditing qualifications.
  • Excellent MS office skills and Microsoft dynamics
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Forklift Licence
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capability to build rapport with key stakeholders across the company and at all levels
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and technical knowledge.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
