Linfox is looking for an AFTERNOON SHIFT LOAD AND DISPATCH MANAGER to be based at their Hazelmere site. This is a permanent, full time opportunity that needs a highly motivated individual with a solid background in the logistics industry. This role is to effectively and efficiently manage the loading and dispatch operations for the Hazelmere site in accordance with Linfox policies, legislative obligations and customer requirements.
An innovative thinker would thrive in this role driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Manage the safe, accurate, timely and efficient loading, restraining and staging of all freight.
- Coordination of 25 load team members as well as managing safety throughout direct areas of responsibility.
- Lead innovation in processes and equipment working to ensure maximum payloads are achieved while adhering to all legislative requirements.
- Driving the Linfox Safety Standards at all times, and ensuring that Vision ZERO is a daily focus.
- Maintain a positive relationship and good communications with the customer
- Provide efficient and effective customer service.
You will need:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the logistics industry
- Previous exposure to the resources industry (desirable)
- Working knowledge of SAP Remote Logistics Management module
- Good MS Office suite skills
- Excellent exposure to general freight operations in particular load restraint.
- Exceptional knowledge of WA transport regulations including COR
- Customer service and compliance focused
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and enjoyment of multi-tasking
- Active engagement in a positive safety culture
- The ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check and successfully complete a full medical including a drug and alcohol test.
