The Opportunity
The Supplier Relations team is expanding and we are now looking for a Category Specialist who’ll be responsible for undertaking procurement activities within our construction and maintenance categories, this will involve working closely with our team to develop and execute both construction and maintenance category plans, sourcing new and innovative supply options and negotiating contracts, you will also be managing key internal and external relationships to drive performance outcomes and deliver value for money to your customers The successful applicant will work very closely with the business so strong stakeholder engagement skills are critical.

The Role
The Category Specialist – Construction & Maintenance is responsible for the delivery of procurement and supplier relationship services. This is done by proactively providing advice to internal customers, establishing and managing end to end supply arrangements for the provision of construction and maintenance works and services utilising a category management approach, combining strategies and practices which deliver value for money with acceptable levels of risk.
About You
You will have a degree in a relevant field such as Procurement, Contract Law, Commerce or Business. Your demonstrated experience will cover category management principles, contracting to Australian standards, commercial risk approach, and construction and or maintenance based procurement.
You will need to be a passionate category professional who is highly motivated to build key supplier relationships to both procure and manage the category.
