We are seeking an ambitious, self-starting type with leadership qualities to join our supply chain group.  The Supply & Inventory Planner ensures that all processes with regard to Supply Planning, Production Planning and Inventory management are executed in line with the IBP, according to DSM Food Specialties (DFS) standards and supportive of the overall DFS business goals and objectives.

The Supply & Inventory Planner manages and controls the planning & logistical activities (incl raw materials replenishment and warehousing) for the production facility of Cultures in Sydney and the external toller.

Works closely with other departments as Demand & Supply Planning Delft, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Improve Plant , SHE and Finance.

The Challenge:

Supply Chain Management:

• Support and actively participate in the DFS IBP process, participate in the Manufacturing Review Meeting and provide information to the Supply Review Meeting;
• Based on the network supply requirements, determine and execute the Master Production Schedule for the DVC plant in Sydney and Toller;
• Translate and execute the Production Schedule into a detail production plan for the different sub processes fermentation and packaging as well as for the external toller for freeze drying;
• Maintain and follow up an accurate and up to date administration of the different operating units
• Owner of different types of master data (Production versions, recipes, material master, purchasing) in several supporting systems (SAP, OMP);
• Ensure compliance with DSM policies, procedures and work instructions as well as SHE and external requirements;

Local site Support:

• Contribute to the continuous improvement initiative (DICI) of overall performance of the plant;
• Contract management of key direct spend partners;
• Manage the call off of all direct spend;
• Organize annual supplier evaluation;
• Manage security of supply for strategical materials;

The Ideal

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain management or related with a minimum 2 years business experience in a production planning role.
• At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing related position.
• SAP experience with basic working computer knowledge.  Able to follow and maintain systems.
• APICS certification is an advantage.
• Experience in food production or a simular industry in raw materials advantagious
• Ambitous, Self-starting and holds leadership qualities.
