Setup Machine Operator
Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world’s leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies. It is through the success, dedication and innovation of Visy that has led to the construction of a new, state of the art, Visy Board plant in Truganina, Vic.
We are looking for 2 x Setup machine operators to oversee the machinery setup across a;
- New and State of the art cardboard manufacturing operation
- Truganina Location

Visy is a leading, privately owned packaging and resource Recovery Company, with more than 120 sites across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam and trading offices across Asia, Europe and the USA.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join Visy Board, Truganina.
The main objective of the role is participate in machine set up and dismantling at job completion, with a focus on meeting agreed production, service and quality standards.
This position reports to the Shift Supervisor and is a key member in production team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Operate machinery to meet agreed production, service and quality standards
- Understanding all aspects of the machine including Finishing Machine and Machinery Operating Systems
- Deputise for the operator in the event of absence, managing crew and machine set up
- Set up and dismantling of the machine, based on the documented plan
- Inspect all die forms, stereos and inks to confirm suitability for operation, flagging all non-conforming tooling
- Ensure equipment is well maintained and maintenance performed as required
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following capabilities;
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
- Organisational skills
- Prior Fibre packing industry knowledge
- Ideally hold a forklift licence
