About the role
We are currently seeking a wood machinist to support the manufacture of Curved Plywood and assist with General duties. The key focus of this role is to deliver a professional warehousing and manufacturing service to all users.
Key Accountabilities Include –
This position involves the manufacture of specialised plywood for the packaging industry. As the successful candidate, your main responsibilities will include:
- Operation of a press aimed at producing a curved plywood board;
- Utilising plywood equipment, band saws and tooling to cut and trim boards appropriately;
- Ensuring all boards manufactured and boards imported meet strict quality measures;
- Prepare the boards ready for delivery to customers;
- Arrange delivery of boards to customer premises;
- Maintain a clean workplace at all times;
- Contribute to continuous improvement;

Skills and experience
- Essential to have an unrestricted car Licence;
- Essential to have a current Forklift Licence;
- Previous experience working with timber would be an advantage;
- Previous experience with any types of wood working tools;
- Must be physically capable of heavy lifting;
- Have a solid history of being a reliable employee;
- Capable of working independently once trained
