Serco is currently seeking applications from experienced Warehousing persons to join our team as a Leading Hand in the Medical and Dental contract located at the Joint Logistics Unit (East) in Moorebank, NSW.
This full time permanent role will see you supervise a team of up to 5 personnel and report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor undertaking warehousing, issuing and receipting functions in support of the contract.
Accountabilities will include:
- Allocate and retrieve goods from specific warehouse areas
- Receive equipment, assemble orders and pick for processing
- Produce requisitions from MILIS (Defence software)
- Prepare and receipt appropriate documentation
- Prioritise, consolidate and allocate daily warehouse workload
- Manage/Operate the warehouse system
- Induction of new staff
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong working knowledge of MILIS
- Demonstrated experience in Warehouse or Logistics environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- An innovative approach to problem solving coupled with a positive attitude
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead, supervise, direct and guide employees
- Customer service focus
- Forklift licence
The expected hours of the role are between 0800h and 1600h Monday to Friday.
It is a requirement for the successful candidate to be an Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Defence Clearance.
