Toxfree currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Supervisor to join the team based in Toowoomba.

Reporting to the Manager – Waste Services you will be responsible for assisting in ensuring the coordination and growth of Waste Services in the Toowoomba QLD region. You will also be responsible for ensuring Waste Services is managed effectively so that services are delivered with maximum efficiency and to the client’s satisfaction in order to achieve the objectives.

Your key responsibilities in this position will include:

• Coordination and maintenance of the Toowoomba region Waste Services to ensure services are monitored and delivered at the required standard and optimum utilization is achieved

• Supervision and training of operators to ensure services are delivered to required standards
• Contributing to the regions profit and growth objectives through superior project management, cost control and nurturing successful business relationships with existing clients
• Providing direction, leadership and guidance on the operations within the sites region
• Ability to assist in the field from time to time, driving trucks and assisting the Operators

To be successful in this role, the applicant must have the following:

• Demonstrated supervision of field based employees , strong people management skills
• Demonstrated superior time management skills and ability to effectively manage fluctuating deadlines;
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, engage and motivate a diverse workforce
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• HR License
• Good computer skills, being proficient in Microsoft Office
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated with good time and personnel management skills
• Highly developed problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• A strong commitment to and understanding of Quality, Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Management systems
• Experience in the Waste Management Industry is desirable
