About the role:
Aurizon is seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Lift Specialist to join our Townsville depot. Reporting to the Logistics Leader, you will be responsible for operating heavy lifting and vehicular equipment (including forklifts up to 40 Tonne) .
You will be required to load and unload containers on and off Trains and onto Trucks and trailers, manual handling, securing loads, pulling curtains and other general yard duties as required.
- Perform heavy lift operations (Forklift/ Reach Stacker to 40 tonnes)
- Perform general operational duties as directed as well as computer work, housekeeping etc
- Handle bulk dangerous goods
- Ensure equipment is kept serviceable in accordance with the relevant Standards/Legislation.
- Completing load manifest paperwork including use of the freight management system
- Conduct container washing and inspections
- Liaise with customers
About You:
- Strong commitment to safety
- Excellent customer service skills
- Hold and maintain a valid C Class Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence (High risk work licence)
