Precision Buses has an outstanding opportunity available for an experienced Team Leader – Welding to join our team in a permanent capacity.
The Role
- Lead team to complete stainless steel MIG welding and full weld out of passenger buses working from engineering drawings
- Maintain the daily build schedule & identify areas for process improvements by effectively utilising people, equipment and materials
- Act as the first point of escalation for the Welding team and escalate any unresolved issues to the Production Supervisor
- Analyse problems and implement countermeasures to improve team output & quality performance
- Work to ensure team members and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet production delivery requirements and daily KPI targets
- Complete daily production records, update training matrixes and conduct risk assessments
- Ensure that non-conforming material and components are clearly identified, perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Ensure build books are completed when works are completed and conduct checks
About you
Precision Buses is looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Certificate IV - Leadership & Management (desirable)
- At least 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
- Experienced positional welder
- Proactive approach to meet strict deadlines and delivery dates
- Engaging and constructive leadership style to motivate your team to reach their full potential
Experience in specialist vehicle programs such as Defence, Mining or mass transit categories will be highly regarded but not essential.
