Our leading client is looking for Procurement Officer initially for 5 months contract to join their established business at Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end procurement focusing on best-practice
- Be a champion for procurement in the organisation
- Preparing reports on commercial and pricing proposals, as well as proof reading and cross checking agreements
- Assisting with the vendor negotiation, tender process and supplier audits
- Assist in the documentation of contracts, using the contracts management system
- Liaison with internal managers and update on changes in agreements with suppliers and tender
- Interface with stakeholders across the organisation
- Preparation of RFT documents
Skills and experience required
- Relevant tertiary qualification or proven commercial education
- Technical experience within automotive will be highly regarded.
- Experience with procurement processes with demonstrated understanding in administration and tendering
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and writing
- Confident with the review and update of agreements
- Experience in database management and experience with a contract management system and purchase order system
- Excellent organisation skills with drive-to-result and detail oriented attitude
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate in a diverse team
- Experience in MS Office
Automotive industry experience would be preferred, candidates with Automotive experience are highly encouraged to apply.
