Job Summary
The Westin Brisbane (opening in November 2018) & Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Complex Purchasing Manager to join the Team. Reporting to the Complex Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing department for the two properties.
The Purchasing Manager will be required to assist the Department Heads in maintaining realistic levels of all inventory goods in stores and overseeing smooth and efficient operation of the Loading Dock for both The Westin & Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane, whilst also managing a Purchasing team.

Requirements
All candidates must be available to work Monday-Friday day shifts. Availability to work increased hours during busy periods is essential, particularly throughout pre-opening for The Westin Brisbane.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Set up the Purchasing department for The Westin Brisbane (pre-opening) including processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations
- Receiving all merchandise on behalf of the Hotel, including food, beverages and other operating supplies
- Operating a forklift to unload goods (forklift Driver's License is required)
- Solid Computer skills is essential
- Examining goods received for quantity and quality
- Maintain records for the department
- Delivering goods within the Hotel
- Keeping the receiving area, loading dock, fridges, freezers and food pantry area organised, clean and in working order
Essentials
- Forklift Driver's License is preferable.
- Prior experience in a similar role is desired.
- Supervisory/Management experience is essential
- Purchase Plus knowledge is preferable
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and demonstrate
- High level of honesty and integrity
