Your new role
You will be responsible for the day to day operations of this successful business. You will lead, develop and manage the safe, profitable and sustainable operations of the business. As the General Manager of the business operation, it will remain in constant contact with all the relevant site members to ensure the are fully equipped to thrive within their roles, which will involve a hands on approach and working side by side with the team. Your duties will be broad and vast to include everything from ; safety focus across the site; strong working relationship between all members of your team; coordinate and plan of process, engineering, people and resources; logistical shipments; adequate chemical and consumable inventories; procurement; monitoring expenditure against income to ensure profitability, and maintenance across the plant.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a thorough and detailed understanding of chemical operations, and ideally have a Chemistry Degree. You will enjoy working in a blue collar environment, and be thrive getting your hands dirty and working with the team, leading from the front. You will be an exceptional people manager who is firm but fair, who will continue to evolve the fantastic working culture of the organisation. You will have have the ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively and work with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality. Your analytical and problem solving skills will be second to none as will your strong leadership skills, independent thinking capabilities and planning abilities.
