About the Opportunity
Southern Star Glass is seeking production workers to be involved in the fabrication of glass for the Group's window and door products. Based at our Geelong Head Office and reporting to the Glass Factory Manager, the candidate will be part of the team fabricating double glazed units and toughened, laminated and other treated glass products.
The factory works in two shifts, 5am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 10.00pm and we require staff in both shift segments.
About You
You will be working with the latest computerised glass processing equipment in a modern factory with a small, close knit team. Attention to detail and a keen sense of pride in quality results are essential and the successful candidate will be a motivated self starter capable of working in a high volume environment.
The factory is a physically demanding environment, so the ability to lift and good general fitness is essential. Our ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in the glass industry and experience and skill in handling glass.
