At present we are taking applications for an experienced Reach Stacker Operator for our client located in the Port of Brisbane.
Description
As a Reach Stacker Operator your job will include transfer of cargo and shipping containers, grain handling and the loading and unloading of trucks, ships and trains.
Based at Fisherman’s Island, you will be required to undertake various other labouring, yard and hygiene duties along with bunker, forklift and weighbridge activities.
The successful candidate is available to work on a seven-day roster - rotating through day, afternoon and night shifts, providing an excellent earning opportunity. Your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Operation of reach stacker and large forklifts
- Unloading and transportation of shipping containers
- Freight loading
- Grain handling and general labouring
You must hold a current RS High Risk License and have proven experience and a high level of skill in operating a reach stacker and forklifts. Able to work well under pressure and flexible with your availability, to be considered for the role you must be able to address the following:
- Current RS and forklift licenses
- Proven experience and high level of skill in operating a reach stacker and forklift
- Pass pre-employment medical (drug and alcohol)
- Available for seven-day roster - including weekends
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit
- Able to adhere to WHS procedures
- Own PPE - ankle high, lace up, steel capped boots, high-vis shirts or vests, work pants
- Professional references
