The Opportunity:
We are looking for someone with extensive industry knowledge and a professional and enthusiastic approach to work. Weekend work will be required on a rostered basis. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
What the role entails;
- Supervision and co-ordination of Metropolitan pick up and deliveries
- Day to day management of drivers
- Lead staff hands on and by example
- Monitoring compliance with Fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
- Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace
- Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements
- Equipment and resource planning
- Enforcing businesses process and rules
- Rostering and management of staff
About you:
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with Fatigue, speed, mass and maintenance requirements
- The ability to manage staff effectively
- A strong customer focus
- The ability to multitask
- Sound knowledge of metropolitan and regional freight networks
