About the role:
Lithgow small arms facility designs, develops and manufactures a range of small arms for the civilian and military market.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for providing electrical repair, maintenance and installation services to all areas of the Lithgow business. Main duties involve breakdown & preventative maintenance activities and the installation and commissioning of wiring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to electrical maintenance needs, communicating closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that priorities are understood and worked to and that progress is communicated effectively
- Using problem solving skills, establish and enact the best solution to the requirement, within the scope of skill and experience
- Identifying necessary replacement parts and source, manufacture or repair as appropriate
- Developing ‘scope of work’ information necessary to produce contracts for electrical repair, maintenance and installation, where required
- Assisting in the management of Contractors where required
- Ensuring safety and functionality of equipment before recommission/hand over
- Complying with and ensure compliance of all relevant Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements, policies, procedures and frameworks with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrical Trade Certificate) or equivalent
- NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate or Contractors Licence
- Ability to identify, assess and manage risk with minimal supervision
- Sound knowledge of AS 3000.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within a similar industrial environment
- Experience in fault finding, repair and maintenance of CNC machine tools
- Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of electrical schematic diagrams.
