Our client is an industry leader in the staging, lighting, and AV industry. They are currently looking for an Operational assistant .The AET Operational Assistant shall assist the Applications Engineering & Training team to achieve departmental objectives, by preparing, testing, despatching, receipting and maintaining demonstration stock for events, tradeshows, demonstrations and training events.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   

•        Responsible for controlling and tracking Company demonstration stock and associated equipment.

•        Prepare, test and despatch resources and equipment for events, tradeshows, Company Rep Week, training schools and demonstrations.

•        Assist with bump in/bump out for tradeshows and events at a range of venues across Australia.

•        Setup, pack down and management of internal training room systems as required.

•        Ensure demonstration inventory is maintained in good working order and fit for purpose.

•        Undertake general duties associated with the department’s core and peripheral activities as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

•        Drivers licence (current and valid) – Class C minimum

•        Test & Tag Licence (desirable)

•        Forklift Licence (desirable)

•        Experience with professional audio and lighting systems in applications such as theatres, live production, contracting etc. or tertiary qualification/s in production.

•        A good understanding of the requirements and operation of modern Audio and lighting systems including system operation.

•        Good basic system fault finding skills

•        Good basic repair skills, cable repairs, test & tag etc.

•        Sound written and verbal communication skills.

•        Intermediate level of computer literacy.

•        Experience with Rental management systems, preferably Rental Point

•        Experience with CRM systems, preferably Sales Force

•        Experience with Network systems configuration and fault finding

•        Tertiary qualifications in Audio Visual, Production or Electronics or related

•        Relevant industry certifications

•        Passion for live production, coupled with desire pursue a career in the  industry.

•        Demonstrated willingness and self-discipline to pursue further education

•        Well organised. Good time management skills

•        Pride in workmanship.

•        Team player.  Willingness to assist others within the team as required

•        Willing to work outside of standard business hours as required
