We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Powder Coating Line Process Worker. This position will involve being part of a team that produces various projects across the industrial, commercial and residential spectrum in an efficient and accurate manner within a workshop manufacturing environment.

The Role
To be immediately considered for this role you must possess the following:

• Ability to read plans and drawings
• Ability to handle electrical tools and perform accurate measuring
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes
• Physically fit
• Be able to work unsupervised and possess initiative and also ask questions

The role is based at our manufacturing facility located in Crestmead.  The hours of work are from 6am Monday to Friday. You must be flexible to work overtime if required. This is a permanent fulltime position of employment to the right applicant, after successfully completing a six month probation period.

Responsibilties:

• Prepare parts for coating;

 • Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems;

• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects;

• Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometers ;

• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations;

• Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatments;

• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance;

• Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout facility;

• Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment;

• Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures;

• Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment;

• Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment;

Skills and Experience

• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.

• Three years minimum experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum year 10 High School Certificate

• Able to work in a fast pace environment

• Demonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervision.
