The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for the Mars Food Australia (MFA) supply chain cross border operations for the BIFG portfolio from global sources, Export to 3rd party customers and Affiliate markets.

Pipeline planning and driving the cross border logistics strategy for sourcing from multiple sources and exports to markets across the globe. Is required to support both cost and growth driven projects and plays a critical role as part of our Activity Management process. Drive improvement in our processes, service, cash and cost delivery as cross border functional expert for MFA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of service (CSL), cash (inventory), cost (ATS, logistics, NQC) KPI’s for MFA BIFG operations and delivery to Export & Affiliate stakeholders.
  • Functional execution of cross border orders to 3rd Party Customers and Affiliate markets.
  • Lead Activity Management projects for Supply as part of the innovation process and ATG forums to ensure supply capability to satisfy demand ambitions.
  • Lead the SCMR Feeder process for External Manufacturing as part our S&OP+ efficiency focus.
  • Implement Supply Chain management standards in BIFG, Export & Affiliate (KPI reporting/LMOS/SCMR Feeder/stock modelling).
  • Ensure supply continuity by monitoring and acting upon mid & long term capacity plans and managing sourcing plans with BIFG affiliates and External manufactures.
  • Regulatory compliance functional expert to ensure we are informed and meet requirements for import and export activities.
  • Network assessment for in and outbound shipments in close cooperation with the GOT team to optimize shipping cost and lead times based on pipeline requirements.
  • Manage periodic affiliate reviews for import and export activities and ongoing relationship management.
  • 3rd party relationship management with clearing agents and markets customers.

The ideal candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications is desirable but not essential
  • Analytical and planning skills with previous experience
  • Proven cross border operational experience
  • SAP and Excel system knowledge and experience
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal customers and suppliers
  • High levels of creativity and problem solving skills
  • Sound functional and technical skills
  • Excels in a customer focused environment where key drivers for success are Dealing with Ambiguity, Action Orientated, Standing Alone, Conflict Management, Drive for Results, Project Management and Priority
