The Role
The IT Procurement Specialist sits in the IT Technology Department, supporting end to end delivery of procurement projects; as part of the Commercial Resources team. Partnering with managers and staff to deliver on end to end procurement activities, to meet the Department's strategic objectives and procurement indicators.
Main Responsibilties
- Support the effective procurement of Software and Hardware.
- Support the effective procurement of services such as Cloud, and other As-A-Service offerings under a Governance framework.
- Manage the relationship with major IT vendors with multiple activites to build capabilities in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Provide critical advice to support senior stakeholders across the Directorate.
- Identify contract management issues and working towards points of resolution.
Main Requirements
- Comprehensive and proven track record in IT Procurement or IT Contract experience.
- Proven track record supporting complex IT contracts.
- Previous state government experience will be very beneficial.
- Ability to hold vendors accountable for their performance.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse and demanding stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal comms.
