A snapshot of your responsibilities includes :
- Overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material
- Developing and maintaining transportation system on domestic and international freight that ensures business needs are met.
- Creating, managing and achieving the overall logistics and customer service department budgets.
- Resolving any issues pertaining to transportation/distribution. Implementing continuous improvement procedures to reduce likelihood of issues arising again
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction in receiving, warehousing and distributing operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and TBB's policies and procedures.
- Organising and maintaining inventory and load staging area
- Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
- Implementing acceptance and the support of the Continuous improvement in all areas including Identifying areas of improvement including establishing innovative new work practices or adjusting existing work procedures and practices.
- Effectively managing daily warehouse operations (within budget) through successful planning, scheduling and the ability to supervise and inspire direct & indirect staff to perform day to day operations
- Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles.
- Maintaining the standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in particular ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy.
- Adhering to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Standards.
- Coordinating Plant Hygiene improvements by ensuring compliance to TBB Standards.
We are looking for a tenacious and ambitious person who possesses previous management and/or supervisory experience within a Warehouse. To be successful in your application, you will have excellent communication skills, a current forklift license, flexibility to cover shifts when required and a determination to succeed.
