We are looking for a hands on team member to join a growing scrap metal business in a busy work environment located in Seven Hills.
We need someone who is keen to learn and willing to take on jobs and provide support wherever necessary.
You will need to be ready to do the hours as required and keen to do work across a range of areas. Over time you will build skills and experience across customer service, yard operations and heavy machinery operation.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Forklift operation (must have current forklift licence)
- Excavator operation (experience/ticket is not essential but will be highly regarded)
- Customer service
- Use of power tools including oxy cutting, grinding, demo sawing etc.
Applicants must be:
- Punctual and reliable
- Fit for physical work
- Well presented
- Switched on and able to work independently
- Prepared to work with a safety conscious team
Applicants with a truck licence, welding experience or other trades will also be highly regarded, however experience/qualifications are not essential.
This is a casual position with prospects of becoming full-time permanent.
