A reputed manufacturing business in Young, NSW, is looking for a hard-working and self-motivated Electrician having current Electrical Licence and extensive industrial work experience. The position is based in Young. Job responsibilities will include:

Fault finding and repairs of electrical equipment including preventive and condition based maintenance

Fault finding and maintenance of PLC system

To ensure electrical equipment critical spare parts and consumables are available

Supervise and implement strategies to reduce breakdowns to achieve better productivity.

Assess, negotiate with, and selection of, external contractor resources (where in house facility is not available) so as to provide a cost effective solution to critical maintenance task.

Attend sites after normal working hours where equipment failure or breakdowns impact on immediate operations

Assessment of electrical maintenance trends and failure predictions and reporting these findings to Operations Manager

Upkeep & safety of the area maintenance workshop and its facilities and the correct use of company provided tools of trade

Record all repairs and maintenance work undertaken on plant

Complete all electrical maintenance within the manufacturers, suppliers or contractors recommended time frames

Attend electrical repair works at both of our sites in Young and perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
