Our national WHS team is led by Vivienne Toll, and has a presence across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
 

What is the role?

As our new Workplace Risk Consultant, you will manage, build and/or generate your own portfolio of clients in the workplace health and safety arena.

The role is a permanent full time position, North Sydney based and part of the Eastern Region Workplace Risk Practice, which covers New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

This role includes a mix of direct delivery of services to clients and the provision of support services to assist the Workplace Risk team, with a speciality area focus on Work Health and Safety (WHS).

This role will see you:

• Conducting WHS management audits and reviews, hazard risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Developing WHS management systems and processes including WHS policies and procedures, hazard management improvement strategies, and delivery of WHS training and information sessions. 
• Using and involving WHS information management platforms used by our clients to record and manage their WHS documents, records and other WHS information and data.   
• Liaison with clients’ representatives, WHS Regulators, legal providers, other third parties relevant to WHS management.

What we are looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Health Sciences, Engineering or another related discipline.
• Graduate Diploma (or above) in OHS or another related course in a safety related area (eg. Auditing, Hygiene, WHS etc.).
• Some experience in a Work Health & Safety role, advisor or consultant role.
• Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) legislation.
• Strong communication, both written and spoken with the ability to prepare and adapt reports to suit client needs.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
