As a Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of the assigned projects for the customer in line with the scope of work; delivering implementation of WFS Australia products on time, to budget, within specified scope and to customer delight.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Take responsibility for a number of projects as allocated and manage each appropriately relative to the project size, risk and value.  In addition to customer implementation projects the role may involve internal projects and initiatives.
  • Drive the project process including setting and managing expectations, and creating project plans.
  • Work to waterfall or agile methodologies as appropriate.
  • Deliver projects to budget, timescales, and quality.
  • Track and review all resources allocated to the project and oversee/influence the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Manage any changes to scope of the project.
  • Identify, report on and mitigate project risks.
  • Identify and manage project issues.
  • Manage the financial forecasting and invoicing of projects in a timely and accurate manner with reference to Company systems and in line with contractual agreement with customers.
  • Promote user and management buy in and overcome resistance to change.
  • Manage communication with WFS Australia engineering and product management teams to ensure effective implementation of product developments.
  • From time-to-time the Project Manager may carry out implementation activities.

Communication & Relationships

  • Build a strong, open and honest relationship with customers.
  • Manage communication with customers throughout project, including project reviews and user and technical level communication.
  • Clear and timely communication of project status to senior management and colleagues within WFS Australia in the form of meeting reviews and standard reports.

Workforce Management domain knowledge

  • Keeps up to date with WFM trends.
  • Remains current with the growing capabilities of WFS Australia products.

Contribution to Professional Services Department and Other Functions

  • Lead the project teams in a collaborative and professional manner; setting an example of excellence and quality
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with other departments within WFS Australia.
  • Attend training courses and undertake self-learning as required to further development the scope of the role.
  • Support pre-sales activity to help secure new business and scope costs and implementation timescales.

Travel

  • 75% business travel will be required both within Australia and internationally.

  • Min 5 years’ experience at leading complex projects, ideally software implementation
  • APM, Prince 2 or other recognised project management qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong team skills, able to work with project managers and consultants to achieve successful solutions and customer references. As a global team, the project team may be working from different locations/countries.
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship building skills, able to build strong, open and honest customer relationships.
  • Good written communication skills producing clear and concise documentation.
  • High work standards, able to exceed customer expectations.
  • Familiarity with Work Force Management processes in retail, hospitality, public services, transport sectors a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and web technologies an advantage.
  • Ability to work in Australia is compulsory

Education

Educated to degree standard in a business, computing or other analytical subject or equivalent business experience.
