High profile Educational Institution based just outside of the CBD is looking for an experienced Lead Change Manager for an initial 6 month project, with a strong chance for extension.

The Lead Change Manager will take the lead from a change perspective in an enterprise wise Cyber Security implementation. Previous experience in a similar implementation will be highly regarded, alternatively experience in complex transformations that includes technology, process and people.

Purpose of the role

You will be accountable for the design and delivery of Change Management solution as an integral part of project delivery for the business. This includes: identifying the appropriate change management approach within the project and business context; setting the change strategy, leading and managing the change management stream including the design, development and implementation of change management deliverables; managing stakeholder expectations; working with the Project Manager and Project Owner to engage stakeholders and ensure business readiness; and, working collaboratively with the other stream leads to identify, understand and facilitate transition activities relevant to the scope and scale of business impacts resulting from the changes being introduced.

Some of the focus areas are:

• Think broadly about change impacts to business within the context of the project
• Identify barriers to the business initiative and develop change strategies, plans and schedules to effectively overcome these barriers
• Ensure sustainable change occurs by understanding the requirements of the business and ensuring key areas are operationally ready
• Operational accountability for developing and managing the consistent delivery of the Change Management Plan on time, within budget and to appropriate quality standard
• Develop comprehensive ways of leading the change management effort through all stages of the project lifecycle, with particular reference to identifying, investigating and resolving relevant project risks
• Develop and deploy solutions that are aligned with the PMO Project framework.
• Profile impacted user groups and determine appropriate sustainable change strategies for each impacted group
• Manage time, cost, scope, issues, risks and quality components of change management tasks
• Manage and assess change impact of any potential scope changes
• Conduct Change Management component of Post Implementation Review to ensure successful project outcome
• Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and other key leads and seek inputs and feedback on the effectiveness of the Change Management Plan
• Continually reassess the greatest area of resistance and blockages to success to focus engagement attention on priority areas
• Actively co-manage with the Project Manager the risk and issue management process by identifying, reporting and managing change risks and resolving issues ensuring appropriate allocation of ownership
• Lead and/or contribute to the development of the new business and user capabilities required through training, communication initiatives and other change management activities
• Assist in identifying suitable change agents and lead, educate, mentor and coach these change agents on change management throughout the change program
• Ensure key stakeholders receive a high level of support, are engaged and commit to ownership of the ultimate change initiative

The right candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in change management within a project environment
• Cyber Security project experience would be highly beneficial
• Exposure to working in large, complex environments
• Experience in interacting with senior management
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
• Solid experience in facilitating best practice methodologies to the delivery teams
• Influencing skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Fantastic relationship management skills and a high level of experience dealing with various stakeholders
