The Role
The Heart Foundation, in partnership with the Stroke Foundation, seeks to engage an experienced and energetic project manager on a part-time fixed term (12 month) contract to coordinate the development of a national heart and stroke action plan.
This role will work across the two organisations, facilitate stakeholder roundtables, manage and get the best from a modest budget, undertake a policy and program stocktake, draft and finalise the action plan and work with guidance from steering and project committees.
The role can be based in either Canberra or Melbourne, will be part time 3 - 4 days with the ability to flex hours to meet the demands for the project development and delivery timeframe. The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager with strong health policy and stakeholder management skills. The development of a national action plan for heart and stroke represents a significant opportunity to guide future policies that will address gaps in current approaches to prevention and control of cardiovascular disease, a leading killer of Australians.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply.
