The opportunity

KBR is involved with the delivery of a range of important programs and projects. In support of our commitment to deliver projects with collaboration, discipline and professionalism, we are seeking the services of a ‘Lead Business Analyst’ with program delivery experience to share our journey. 

 
What you will be involved with

Leading the capability enhancement across key project, program and business metrics. Working within an integrated delivery team, developing and improving business metrics and reporting for a client program. You will be initially tasked at translating a large volume of data (predominantly project data (I.e. cost and performance etc.)) and producing reports and statistics quickly and accurately, adding value and providing ongoing improvements.

 
The core responsibilities will include:
  • Business Modelling (delivering engineering, asset and cost modelling solutions) including the establishment and development of ‘models’ for modelling solutions.
    • Utilising modelled data to trend future performance (engineering deliverables, asset based cost models etc.), managing data sets and developing tools to be intuitive.
    • Develop and maintain cost models and database
  • Reporting (business metrics)
    • The creation and maintenance of dashboards, maintaining performance metrics continually.
    • Seeking new ways to measure performance, proactively reviewing market tools and industry best practice for continuous improvement.
    • Creating and supporting models that assist in the provision of informed business decisions. (Cost and time data, model curves and outcomes analysis)
    • Innovate and develop new metrics
    • Initiate process improvement changes
    • Provide reports and analysis as required
  • Quantitative analysis of business information / data (using mathematical and statistical modelling)
    • Maintain excellent data integrity
    • Identify areas for improvements through sound analytics
    • Analyse large and varied data sets
  • Maintain the program management approach (PMA) continuous improvement roadmap
  • Liaise between key stakeholders to ensure project data reflects current project status
 
Prerequisites 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Data Science, Engineering or as relevant to the role)
  • Significant demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a large organisation. (I.e. Blue Chip Mining, ‘Big 4’ consulting firms etc.)
  • Detail orientated coupled with an ability to maximise the use of limited data
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Innovative and proactive in approach to work
  • Able to develop and maintain effective, durable relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Advanced Microsoft Power BI and Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Extensive knowledge of business processes and process management techniques (Desirable / advantageous)
