The Transformation Director will work closely with business heads to lead initiatives designed to drive business growth and productivity, executing on a variety of strategic and transformational projects aimed at achieving the strategic and financial objectives of the business and preparing the business for future.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a critical role in functioning as an ‘extension’ of the CEO to sponsor and drive transformation initiatives while effectively managing internal and external stakeholders.
You will be expected to lead complex, cross-functional high priority strategic initiatives. The role will contain process improvement, change management, and project management responsibilities. This is not a project management or PMO position. You will have a considerable impact on the organisation and be a key driver on our ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities
Transformation Leadership
- Lead concepts, define scope, and execute on strategic and operational business transformation initiatives, ranging from process improvement to corporate and operational strategy.
- Provide proactive and engaged leadership on key projects designed to increase revenue, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and improve customer experience.
- Partner with leadership and HR to enhance operating model and organisational design to support effective transformation
- Ability to challenge business leaders at all levels while building relationships and gaining respect across the organisation
- Support others by providing real-time coaching on business transformation and process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Lead the communication approach for the transformation program, exercising customised and creative methods to engage with a range of stakeholders from differing backgrounds
Program & Change Management
- Provide direction and leadership to the Program Director and PMO
- Act as an effective change agent utilising sophisticated stakeholder analysis and change management techniques
- Provide oversight of project plans and drive implementation by collaborating with functional leaders.
- Provide senior leadership with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
- Be a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organisation or business unit scope.
- Partner with operations and training teams to launch new system / process improvements into the organisation
- Partner with leadership, operations, and IT to prioritise system enhancement requests
- Partner with IT team to align technical solutions with business requirements using Agile methodology concepts
- Sponsor and facilitate team meetings and cross-functional workshops.
- Provide direction and oversight of analyses needed to prove or disprove the hypotheses driving project execution.
- Proactively anticipate and work towards mitigating risks to project execution or stakeholder engagement.
The official stuff – Experiences and qualifications
- Solid experience in a number of core consulting capabilities. Areas of interest include transformation & change, process design, organisational design and operating models
- Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to quickly build own network and establish strong relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrate the ability to manage initiatives that are not well defined or structured
- Personable character and an exceptional communicator – ability to communicate at the highest level both written and verbal
- Significant years of experience in successfully managing and leading strategic initiatives
- Highly organised – proven ability to proactively manage time effectively when handling multiple simultaneous initiatives
- Drive delivery excellence. Develop and deliver practical solutions to problems
- The ability to influence, persuade, motivate and mentor others
- Lean/Six Sigma accreditation is an advantage
