The Metro Tunnel Project

The Metro Tunnel Project (MTP) is a game-changer for our city and our customers. The project will deliver more frequent services for customers, reducing network congestion and overcrowding. By introducing new systems and infrastructure it will modernise the network and deliver greater reliability. It will be the catalyst for better connectivity to underpin Melbournes sustainable growth into the future. The Metro Tunnel Project has the capacity to transform Melbourne and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.

About the role:

As a Senior Business Analyst and reporting to the Disruption Program Planning Manager, you will be providing financial/analytical support to conflict resolution and occupation scenario modelling, producing business cases with robust recommendations to the Project Director for the Metro Tunnel Project.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Key support in preparing and validating financial models and projections
• Deliver accurate forecast and financial plans
• Provide advice and support to project management in understanding and developing financial models, in order to develop models for revenue, expenditure & margin outcomes.
• Undertake financial modelling of options to consider best Project outcomes
• Prepare presentation material to effectively communicate complex issues to senior management
• Support procurement contract design with regards to demand profiles and performance regimes
• Identify financial opportunities and methods of monitoring financial performance

About your experience:

You will be tertiary qualified in Business, Accounting or equivalent. You will have significant experience in financial management, financial reporting systems and management information systems, and also hold experience and knowledge of key accounting concepts.

Additionally, you value the importance of teamwork and of listening, challenging your peers and making a difference. You are confident to bring innovation to the table. You have the agility to engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining focused on excellence. Consultative approaches to providing solutions regarding challenging assignments mixed with exceptional customer service are critical skills youve demonstrated over your career.
